music

Dancing with the Stars Sep 29, 2007

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujcedVPc-Rg

Well, it certainly didn't take long for THAT clip to show up on Youtube.

Unlike what I expected it to be, the dancing was really quite tame compared to what Wenjer showed us with that Angelique Boyer dance clip. But as I mentioned before, that evening I really wasn't watching the show; it was hearing the gushing comments from the judges that made me think the number was real advant-garde. But not so.

Just listen to the judges comments for yourselves ...

You gyrated, you rotated, and you pulsated. It was like watching a stripper!...

The crotch action was like a warp drive! I got a hernia, just watching it! ...

I'm constant at a loss for words ... Yeah, I'm still confused ... I'm not sure ...

So I go back to what I was originally saying regarding the boundaries of American prime time TV shows.

I know Wenjer for now is not allowed to post. But I hope he's still browsing.

We'll Celebrate Today Sep 30, 2007

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ah0pDOkbQbA

We'll Take A Glass Together (Michael Jeter, Brent Barrett, and chorus)

Rubbadub rubbadubbadubbadub
Rubbadub rubbadubbadubbadub

We'll take a glass together
in celebration of our meeting
In celebration of our being face to face
Friendly
Civilized
Members of the race

I'll drink to you!
No, I to you!
You'll drink to me!
Then you to me!
I'm sure we two
I know we two
Will find no finer company
Thank you, Baron

Rubbadub rubbadubbadubbadub
Rubbadub rubbadubbadubbadub

We'll take a glass together
and we will lift it to the good life
And as we're lifting it we will most sincerely say

Prosit
Your health, Sir
Salute
and Skol
Nasdrovye
A votre santй

For one brief moment in this cold and careless day
We'll take a glass together

Rubbadub rubbadubbadubbadub
Rubbadub rubbadub

I'll drink to you
No, I to you
Then vice versa
Then vice versa
I'm sure it's true
I know it's true
Things may be bad but could be worse
Absolutely

Rubbadub rubbadubbadubbadub
Rubbadub rubbadubbadubbadub

We'll ask no why or whether
We'll spend each moment as it moves us
Come come my comrade nip the nectar of the day

Sherry
Campari
Scotch Whiskey
Chartreuse
A Cognac
An Absinthe Frappй

For one warm moment in a world gone cold and crass
We'll take a glass together

Rubbadub rubbadubbadubbadub

We'll take a glass together
and we will lift it to the good life
And as we're lifting it we will most sincerely say

Prosit
Your health, Sir
Salute
and Skol
Nasdrowje
A votre santй

For one warm moment in this cold and careless day
We'll celebrate
We'll take a glass
We'll celebrate
We'll take a glass
...

We'll celebrate today!

From "Me and My Girl" Sep 30, 2007

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3oimHJCURbo

The Lambeth Walk (Robert Lindsay and chorus)

We play a different way, not like you but a bit more gay. When we have a bit of fun, Oh boy ...

Any time you're Lambeth way
Any evening, any day
You'll find us all
Doing the Lambeth Walk, Oi!

Every little Lambeth gal
With her little Lambeth pal
You'll find them all
Doing the Lambeth Walk, Oi!

Everything free and easy
Do as you darn well pleasy
Why don't you make your way there
Go there, stay there

Once you get down Lambeth way
Every evening, every day
You'll find yourself
Doing the Lambeth Walk, Oi!

Steve,

When Chance and Bin were talking about their lovely daughters, you came up with the song "Me and My Girl". I am not sure if this is a coincidence. Perhaps, you picked that song on purpose.

Oh, no. That was a coinicidence indeed. I just wanted to post something fun.

Here's a song for everyone to enjoy on the day of our nation's 58th birthday celebration. pk already posted all the patriotic songs I know of that fit the occasion. So I'll just post something that sings about individual aspiration and achievement ...

One Moment In Time (Whitney Houston)

Each day I live
I want to be a day to give the best of me
I'm only one, but not alone
My finest day is yet unknown
I broke my heart for every gain
To taste the sweet, oh I face the pain
I rise and fall yet through it all this much remains

I want one moment in time
When I'm more than I thought I could be
When all of my dreams are a heart beat away
And the answers are all up to me
Give me one moment in time
When I'm racing with destiny
Then in that one moment of time
I will feel, I will feel eternity

I've lived to be the very best
I want it all, no time for less
I've laid the plans
Now lay the chance here in my hands

Give me one moment in time
When I'm more than I thought I could be
When all of my dreams are a heart beat away
And the answers are all up to me
Give me one moment in time
When I'm racing with destiny
Then in that one moment of time
I will feel, I will feel eternity

You're a winner for a lifetime
If you seize that one moment in time
Make it shine

Give me one moment in time
When I'm more than I thought I could be
When all of my dreams are a heart beat away
And the answers are all up to me
Just give me one moment in time
When I'm racing with destiny
Then in that one moment of time
I will be, I will be
I will be free, oh
I will be, I will be free
