Certificates, training Full-time professional translator since 2015, specializing in legal and marketing translations. I am also a trained and experienced subtitler.
Since February 2018, I hold the title staatlich geprüfte Übersetzerin Berlin and have been a member of the BDÜ since June 2018. I joined the MFTE, the Hungarian Interpreters' and Translators' Association in the winter of that same year.
I hold an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Germanic Languages and Literatures from Indiana University, Bloomington. There I completed the requirements for a Certificate in Translation. From 2011, I taught (practical) translation modules in New College, The University of Oxford as part of the German undergraduate curriculum.
My academic training and university teaching experience ensure that I am sensitive to a registers, nuances, and word choice and emphasize precise renderings.
I am a volunteer translator for a number of of educational, cultural and other non-profit organizations.
