Well, I guess, the Bengali people just use the short form, but as it turns out, this practice doesn't have to do anything with real Arabic usage. So I don't know, whether I should ask for help to change this question to Abdullah with the help of the moderators or post Abdullah as a separate question. The problem is only, that for today I ran out of the maximum 5 questions, I can ask. Or should we make this thread from now on a question about Abdullah?

Most probably, 'Abdul' is the first part of an Arabic name. I am not sure about the Bengali one.

ِAbdullah (عبد الله) is a complete name. However, there are many other compound names that start with 'Abdul'.

I think, I've seen it as the first names of Bengali people in a standalone form.

Really? Do you mean Abdullah would be complete? Because I've seen the name Abdul separately from Abdullah many times. So I think, that Abdullah would be a totally different name from Abdul.
