Spanish to English Medical Medical (general) hospital discharge report
The following comes from a hospital discharge report involving a patient who suffered a knife attack:

Could this mean that two of the wounds were 1) located on their sides, (horizontally), 2) side-by-side (parallel?) or 3) to the side of something else?

It's probably quite simple, but from the way in which it is worded, I can't make sense of the description.

Many thanks in advance!

incised wounds, two of them located on the anterior wall of the thorax
