: Found three sources for "direct pressed" in context, but all are subscription services I do not have access to. Term seems to fit though.

The bit is pressed (probably HIP, hot isostatic pressing) directly to the required shape, i.e. it is not machined but more near-net shaping.
Incidently, "Hartmetall" is probably better rendered "hard metal" even though it probably has a high degree of carbide. Hard metals include carbides, nitrides, carbonitrides and siliconized SiC (aka SiSiC).
