Gastric regue (folds) and pits.
When your stomach is relaxed (empty), the mucosa is thrown into prominent folds called rugae –temporary features that let the gastric lumen expand. As your stomach fills, the rugae flatten out. When your stomach is full, the rugae almost disappear.
