Spanish to English Medical Medical: Health Care Training in the management of drug-resistant TB cases
This is a comment from a trainee who took a course in managing multidrug-resistant TB:

"Me llama la atención de este programa la capacitación para abordar esta enfermedad. Yo tengo capacitaciones en el **albergue**, certificación, las guías y todo, pero sí me gustaría, pues, que un infectólogo nos dijera cómo abordar la enfermedad; también, desde el laboratorio cómo abordarlo porque, la verdad, no lo hemos tenido en capacitación”.

Muriel Vasconcellos (asker) Apr 23, 2021:
@All Thank you! Several very good leads here, but they are not synonymous. In the old days, many TB patients went to sanatoria and stayed there for extended periods (I mention this in my new book, about to be available on Amazon). Since the advent of drug therapy, the vast majority of cases are treated in outpatient facilities; only the most serious patients are kept in inpatient facilities. (They may be isolated before they start treatment to protect the community.) The trick is to find out the correct term in English. I will flag this term when I deliver my translation, but I can't promise I will find out what they finally decide on any time soon. Unless something definitive shows up here, I'm afraid I'll have to close the question without an acceptable answer until I know for sure--at which point, I can always re-open it.

I'd just posted my suggestion ! I'd say 'in care facilities' sounds better
Muriel Vasconcellos (asker) Apr 22, 2021:
Thanks to your ideas... I'm considering "in-facility care." I found several examples online. What do you think?
Muriel Vasconcellos (asker) Apr 22, 2021:
Oops! It should be "albergue"--of course.

"The social workers will try and address the possibility of income, if no income, social services will offer either a hostel (which is paid by the service), or a “albergue” which is a specific sheltered accommodation run by either private NGOs, or by the town hall."

At first I thought that these were more like a hospice, but all the references I find point to them being shelters. Some just house people with TB, some just house those with HIV, but as a fair number of people with HIV also have TB, they often house people with both conditions.

residential treatment

Or perhaps, more wordily: "the management of residential treatment centers" (if you want to make it clear that the person in question is responsible for the physical facilities where treatment is being provided, and not for the treatment itself).

In context, the term would seem to refer to "residential treatment." In any event, I don't see where "training in lodging houses" or training in shelter" really works as a translation here.

Or, perhaps more fitting: "rehabilitation [center]" or "convelescence [center]"
