German term

BB

German to English Medical Medical: Health Care
"Anamnese:
ZNA BB:
Die Pat. stellt sich selbstständig vor."

and then later in the doc:

"Befunde:
EKG BB:
SR, Hf XX/min, LT, regelrechte R-Progression, keine signifikanten ERBS."

The only interpretations I can find for BB have something to do with blood counts, but that doesn't seem to fit the context. The project term base translates "ZNA" as "CED", so this was an emergency room admittance, and it has to do with a probable vaccine reaction if that helps. Thanks in advance for your insights.

Discussion

Steffen Walter Jan 6, 2022:
Highly unlikely See "ZNA BB", where "Belastungsblutdruck" wouldn't make any sense at all.
Brent Sørensen Jan 6, 2022:
Could it be… Belastungsblutdruck
liz askew Jan 6, 2022:
I think Marga is correct, FWIW.
Barbara L Pavlik (asker) Jan 6, 2022:
@Marga Okay. I was thinking of Anamnese as more of a long-term medical history, but in the sense of case report, it does make sense then.
Marga Shaw Jan 6, 2022:
@ Steffen BB = Befundbericht - bitte einstellen

EKG BB = EKG-Befundbericht

und

ZNA BB = Befundbericht der Zentralen Notaufnahme
Die Patientin stellt sich selbststänig vor
- ist durchaus sinnvoll unter 'Anamnese'

Barbara L Pavlik (asker) Jan 6, 2022:
Hi Anne, that would certainly seem to make the most sense, but it doesn't match up at all with where the treatment took place, unless it's some department within the hospital (maybe the second B stands for Bereich?)
Anne Schulz Jan 6, 2022:
I agree with Liz and Harald, that it is probably a name of a town or facility or department where the pt presented and received an ECG.
Barbara L Pavlik (asker) Jan 6, 2022:
@ Steffen Could be, but why would that be under the heading of Medical History? (for that matter, why is "Emergency room" under that heading?
Steffen Walter Jan 6, 2022:
Befundbericht? Case/medical report?
Barbara L Pavlik (asker) Jan 6, 2022:
Well, that's something I wouldn't have thought of, but no, it doesn't fit in this case.
Could it be ... Zentrale Notaufnahme (Krankenhaus) Barmherzige Brüder

liz askew Jan 6, 2022:
Could it be the name of the hospital?
