German term
Monozyten rel. mi.
German to English
Medical
Medical (general)
From blood test reference ranges from an Austrian lab (blood tests). Monocytes and rel. clear (Relative Monocytes), but the mi. (no expansion) comes up often in the values (abs. mi.) absolute, again: mi. (perhaps mittlere, median, mean, average?) Any help appreciated!

relative monocytes/monocyte count via microscopy
mi is most likely mikroskopisch (microscopy/microscope)
This would be consistent with the reference posted below by Justin Vercales since determining the count using a microscope is a manual as opposed to an automated counting process.

Value Set ELGA_Laborparameter 2017‑07‑27
If it's any help, I found a website with laboratory parameter value sets that use the same abbreviations; "Retikulozyten rel." is listed alongside the LOINC code "4679-7" and "Retikulozyt. rel.mi." is listed alongside the LOINC code "31112-6," and according to loinc.org, the only difference between the two is that the latter specifies a manual cell counting method.
