Russian term

первых родов

Russian to English Medical Medical (general)
Из анамнеза известно, что ребенок от шестой беременности, протекавшей на фоне угрозы прерывания с 19-й нед, первых родов.

"первых родов" - does this refer to early labour?

Discussion

Tatyana Peruzzi May 4, 2023:
Я так понимаю, что этот ребенок был первым родившимся. То есть предыдущие беременности закончились выкидышем или прерыванием по каким-либо причинам

of the first live birth

Live birth (human)

In human reproduction, a live birth occurs when a fetus exits the mother showing any definite sign of life such as voluntary movement, heartbeat, or pulsation of the umbilical cord, for however brief a time and regardless of whether the umbilical cord or placenta are intact.[1]

The definition of the term "live birth" was created by the World Health Organization in 1950, and is chiefly used for public health and statistical purposes. However, the term "live birth" was in common use long before 1950.[2]

In the United States, the term "born alive" is defined by federal law[3] known as the born alive rule.

Yes, I believe that in this context all previous attempts ended in miscarriages.
Note from asker:
Thank you. I think this makes sense. Does this mean all the previous births were stillbirths? (as the commenter has mentioned).
