I know this has already been asked on Proz, but I am confused by all the suggestions.
I am translating this document for immigration to Australia. I was told to translate the type of school, the marks, the profession, or the academic degree as accurately as possible and put the original designation in the source language underneath in square brackets and, if necessary, give an explanation in a translator's note.

Since the range 12 to 14 out of 20 is 60 - 70%, mention assez bien is the rough equivalent of a C pass (pass with credit) (63-72.99%), in NSW and Queensland at least.

: I disagree with writeaway. There is no 'Australian equivalent,' and it's not the translator's job to find one. It's like saying the Australian equivalent of a dog is a kangaroo.
