I need to translate this as a heading for sections of a website, relating to various housing development projects (for an architectural firm).
I already read the previous post about 'grondgebonden sociale huurwoningen', and I understand what it means, but I really need a phrase - if one exists - that can stand alone as a heading.
If, as I suspect, this concept does not really exist in English, I guess I will have to go back and consult with my client...

Comment: "Thank you for your response, I really appreciate it. Actually "ground-oriented" is not very commonly used in the UK (only 4 hits on Google UK and they refer to Canadian/US developments). But it is great to have a close equivalent of the original text. I also considered simply saying "houses" in the document, as the context juxtaposes grondgebondenwoningen with apartments."

<br>there are a gazillion types of houses, and none seem generic enough for US-speak. Given the way many/most people in the USA live, one might have to use a descriptive phrase such as 'single-family dwelling/residence with grade-level access', or 'single-family ground-floor dwelling'. These terms say nothing about possible floors above or below the ground floor.
These houses are the opposite of ‘gestapelde woningen’ (cf. same page of definitions) whose private access is not located on the ground floor.
Ground-oriented houses are quite often townhouses, but there are exceptions (see my refs).
