Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (1): writeaway

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

Lisa Page (asker) Sep 21, 2009:
Thak you everyone for your contributions, and much appreciated input, destination areas was also one of my original ideas and is the best fit. I do not want to waste anymore of your valuable time.
writeaway Sep 21, 2009:
please post the sentence in Dutch All this chat in English is getting us nowhere fast. Please post the text in Dutch so we can see how it's being used. One person alone has posted 3 different answers to give you an idea about the numerous options there are. By actually seeing the context, in Dutch, it will be much easier to give an answer instead of just guessing. the term itself isn't difficult but guessing how it's used certainly is.
Kate Hudson (X) Sep 21, 2009:
To take the discussion back to the question ...
Where are these grensdistricten and bestemmingsgebieden? This might give a clue as to what the bestemmingsgebieden are.
Michael Beijer Sep 21, 2009:
Google.standards I was talking about how the Dutch and Belgian governments leave it to such a motley crew to devise standard English terms and translations. I was talking about 'crowdsourcing,' and 'mobsourcing.'
Oliver Pekelharing Sep 21, 2009:
hmm? Not quite sure what you're on about there Michael...
Michael Beijer Sep 21, 2009:
hmm # 2 It find it very interesting how we (the Dutch To English ProZ Peer Alliance) are trying to invent such FTS's (Future Standard Terms). <br>Actually, I am surprised that overheid.nl doesn't actually already have a (paid) team of translators working on these problems. Although ... I suppose that this form of 'freelance' mob-data-gathering is cheaper and perhaps even more effective, in the final analysis.
Michael Beijer Sep 21, 2009:
hmm 'zones,' as in 'zoning areas,' and 'zoning plans,' etc.
Lisa Page (asker) Sep 21, 2009:
missing children
Kate Hudson (X) Sep 21, 2009:
Can you give me a clue as to where they are talking about? What do they hope to reach people with?
Lisa Page (asker) Sep 21, 2009:
Hi Kate, Thanks for your input text is as follows: wij verwachten circa 20.000 mensen te kunnen bereiken in de 10 grensdistricten en 6 bestemmingsgbieden.
Kate Hudson (X) Sep 21, 2009:
Perhaps you could give us the context. I certainly don't feel that we can give you anything like a good answer without even the sentence this word is in.
