I use 'entry code' although I have also often seen David's 'ledger code.'

agree Textpertise : "Ledger code" often needs to be preceded by another word like "general, cost or purchase. Using "entry code" gets you out of the problem of having to specify the ledger, which isn't specified in the text. Of course one can just say ledger but it's odd.
