Dutch term

aanbiedingsplicht algemeen

Dutch to English Law/Patents Law (general)
This is a question about the 'algemeen'. The full heading of the article is 'Blokkeringsregeling/aanbiedingsplicht algemeen'. I'm never quite sure how to translate the algemeen when it appears at the end of a phrase like this.
Proposed translations (English)
4 +2 general obligation to offer shares
4 General duty to offer shares

On second thought, if I\'m to view this in its entirety, a better translation might be:
general information regarding restrictions on free transferability of shares/obligation to offer shares
Depending on the context or use of this phrase in your text of course
Good luck!

agree Marijke Singer : Yes, it does mean 'general information'. The Dutch could have been 'in het algemeen'.

General duty to offer shares

I think the "algemeen" could be read as "is algemeen"
