Dutch term

parkeerogen

Dutch to English Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering
Part of a safety harness. There's a few Ghits, but I can't see what type of connectors these are. My document says

Per harnasgordel kunnen er twee parkeerogen worden aangebracht voor het ophangen van de 2e haak. Het voordeel hiervan is dat deze losschieten indien je ergens achter zou blijven haken.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Lanyard parking rings/loops

When working with a double-legged lanyard, attaching the unused lanyard to a permanent fixture of the harness may interfere with the shock absorber mechanism.

Lanyard parking ring/loop - Detachable ring/loop on the harness for temporarily storing the extra lanyard. Breaks away from the harness if the lanyard becomes snagged.

Lanyard breakaway parking loops

See the following website:
http://www.abaris.co.uk/prod/harness-accessories/Lanyard-Bre...
"For use as the ‘parking point’ for the unused end of any twin (two tailed) fall arrest lanyard. This clip can be fitted to any webbing up to 45mm in diameter and is designed to break away when a load of between 35 and 40Kg is applied to it (i.e. in the event of a fall when the other lanyard tail is clipped to an anchor point)."
