English term

a 2:2 degree

Ecco la frase: "We need you to have a 2:2 degree (or equivalent) in any subject". A cosa corrisponde in Italia ... a un diploma di laurea di primo livello (3 anni di studio e 180 crediti)? Grazie per qualsiasi suggerimento!

Thanks! I've also enquired at our university but there does not really seem to be general consesus, although we all agree that a UK university will accept most Italian degrees so long as they're not 'below average'. Lecturer references generally suffice.
laura con votazione minima di 2:2. Non esiste equivalente in italiano. Le votazioni finali in GB sono suddivise in 1, 2:1, 2:2 e 3, vale a dire, first, upper second, lower second and third.

More or less! A class 2:2 is considered an average score in the UK. To continue studying for a Master's, for example, universities usually ask for a 2:1 or a 1st class degree. So it would be fair to assume that a laurea triennale with anything above 100 would suffice, but every faculty and university has thier own rules on the matter.... A 'vecchio ordinamento' degree would be more than good enough, whatever the score.

Here in Italy a degree taken in the UK is not worth anywhere near the same number of 'points' as a standard Italian degree! Don't think the UK apply the same reasoning however! Good for Italians, not so good for us Brits....

(corso biennale di) laurea specialistica

non sono sicura ma dovrebbe corrispondere a un corso biennale di laurea specialistica, cioè un secondo periodo formativo di durata biennale(secondo livello) per conseguire una laurea specialistica
