Pero puede significar tambien cargarlos dentro un camión o also similar (load).

Herd: es mas bien conducir los animales, mas que nada ovejas.

If the phrase refers to accomodating the animals in their stalls, then this is what it means. The complete text may provide enough context to confirm whether this interpretation is correct.

I know it sounds wordy, and perhaps even awkward, but assuming that reference is being made to a variety of animals, I don't think a single verb works.
