Erotic content Jul 14, 2022

Recently I was contacted by a Chinese agency to translate some Japanese hentai manga. It involved torture and was nauseating. I have blocked the email of this company. This is the type of material that "turns on" child molesters and I don't want to be a part of it. So much of Japanese hentai manga involves children/teenagers.

I don't do this so I wouldn't know. Jul 14, 2022

This would be under fiction translation umbrella. And fiction pays really bad. I assume any translator specializing in fiction or a fiction writer did translate erotica or erotica sections at some point. Any fiction book or a movie representing life has some "erotica" aspects. If they are advertising themselves as fiction writers, they will probably list everything.

I repaired dishwashers for decades so it’s one of my core specialities.

It depends whether it's denigrating Jul 14, 2022

Porn? Sure. But not anything that crosses the line
