It's been a while since I found myself facing this dilemma.

When I studied Japanese I discovered how useful good electronic dictionaries can be. Of course, Japanese dictionaries are really good. The one I have now, for instance, has a couple of extensive monolingual English and Japanese dictionaries, amongst other usual features.

So, now that I focused on Slavonic languages, like Bulgarian or Croatian, I wonder if I can find a good device which has different dictionaries in it. Is it possible in this part of the world? Or maybe I should instead try to find software for my phone?

Has anyone been in a similar situation?

Yes.

Software for a phone less likely than electronic dictionary Feb 17, 2010

From my experience if no decent electronic dictionary is available than software for a phone is even more likely but probably it's worth trying.

Best Regards
Stanislaw
