Hi everybody I am visiting Tokyo for a fortnight at the end of this month and wondered if anybody would like to meet up for a drink or something to give me an insight into Tokyo, Japan and its culture. I would also be grateful for any tips on things to do which are not in guidebooks and maybe off the beaten track. Thanks and hope to hear from someone Regards Ian | | | Welcome to Japan! | Apr 11, 2010 |

Why don't you visit Kawagoe city then? Please access the following website. http://www.koedo.or.jp/foreign/english/ Or you want to go back even further? Then you can visit Yoshimi-hyakketsu, Higashi-matsuyama-shi, Saitama-ken. http://nipponsanpo.fc2web.com/sanpo/sanpo20030419.html Mr. Toyokazu Watanabe believes that Persian (Iran) people, who came all the way from Iran imitated their ruler's graves located in one of the suburban areas of Achaemenid holy capital, Persepolis. I tell you that you will not be able to find these similar graves in Korea and China. Hope you will have a wonderful trip to Japan! ▲ Collapse | | |

Hello Karis, it sounds great that you are also coming to Japan this summer. Suppose you would like to know the soul of Japan, you can read Empress Michiko’s work “Se-oto.” Both French and Japanese books are available now. French Sé-oto, Le chant du gué / de l'imperatrice Michiko du Japon ; traduction, notes, chronologie, bibliographie et postface, Tadao Takemoto ; traduction des waka en collaboration avec Olivier Germain-Thomas. -- Paris : Editions Signatu... One of my Italian translation agencies invited me to visit Italy last summer. Unfortunately, I could not make it. Italy, Spain and Argentina are the three counties I would like to visit the second most! Because I am a godfather of one of my Argentina friends’ daughter. My friend’s grandfather came from Italy while her grandmother came from Spain…. That is why these three countries are the second most countries I would like to visit. The country I want to visit the most? Egypt. I am very much interested in ancient Egypt and some pieces of papyruses which were supposed to be found together with the mask of Tutankha or Tutankhamen. (They denied officially the papyruses But I know they did not and could not tell the truth) ▲ Collapse | | | Ventnai Spain Local time: 02:34 German to English + ... TOPIC STARTER
Hi Nobuo Muy bien gracias. Thanks for your reply. I thought I had posted my thanks a while ago but it appears not to have been published. Sorry about that! Your links are very useful. I especially like the look of Kawagoe, so I'll be sure to go there. I hadn't heard of it before. I'll be leaving for Tokyo on Monday. I can't wait Ian | | | Enjoy your stay in Tokyo! | Apr 29, 2010 |
Hi Ian, Are you still in Japan...? I would like to show you some "secret" sightseeing spots, however, I don't have time because my job keeps me quite busy.....;- OK, please enjoy your stay in Japan! Cheers!
