ProZ.com powwow: For the whole family! :)

Hello my friends,

driven by this wonderful weather, I am willing to organize a 'different' Powwow.

I am challenging you to an approximate 3 miles walk, starting at the train station by having a small picnic and then ending in a place where we can have a drink and rest for a while, before we decide to go back home . :)

Are you up for this challenge?

P.S. You can bring your family if you want. I will most probably book the same place as before at the Holiday Inn Express.

The plan is like this:
11 am - meet in the park behind the train station(just where the tram stop is) and have a picnic (if it's not raining). If it's raining, we will do the picnic in the Winter Garden (it's in our route).
12 - 12:30 pm - start the 2 hours walk
2 - 2:30 pm - arrive at the Holiday Inn Express and chill

I hope we will have the sun on our side, but if it's raining, we should be prepared to walk in the rain as well! ;)

Camelia, thanks for organising again but I can't make this one. Too much going on in the summer I'm afraid.

Weather issue Aug 1, 2013

According to the weather it will start raining from 1pm.
We are not a huge number of people and therefore I decided not to reserve a place to a restaurant. I am pretty sure we can find a place to chill, after the walk.

The huge question is, if you still wish to walk on this weather, in case it will rain, or we could just try another powwow another time.

It's your decision. I will do this walk even with one person, if necessary. We could also skip the walk and just go

It's your call.
Please let me know what you wish to do.

Hi Chris,

The number of participants is not an issue.icon_wink.gif

I have a question though. I'm just wondering why do you keep organizing the powwows on the same day with mine? This is the second one and I'm inclined to believe that it's not a coincidence. I'm just trying to understand, because I tried to make sure that it's not in the same day with yours, but you moved it in the same day...

No paranoia necessary... Aug 3, 2013

Hi Camelia,

I was, in fact, asked to change the date of the Leeds Powwow on this second occasion by several people. I would have preferred it to be another date. On the first occasion, I changed it again due to this very same reason. People change their minds and mess you around in life.

Anyway, regardless, Leeds and Sheffield are two different cities and entities, with the former being in West Yorkshire and the latter in South Yorkshire. It is ok to have two Powwows on the

Thank you.

Well, I didn't expect the 'paranoia' comment.icon_smile.gif))
There is no paranoia, my friend. It was just a curiosity of mine. As both of the occasions ended in your powwow being cancelled, it is just hard for me to believe your explanation.
I never said it's not ok to have two powwows in the same day, they can also take place in the same city, as long as people can attend to both of them if they want to.
This was never an issue.

Too bad that you didn't attend today! It would have been a nice experience for you.

Enjoy the weekend!
