Bio

Hey there!

I hope
you’re doing fine and eager to press “START” to begin playing this little game
I like to call “Not-So-Short Bio: An Introduction to the Lore, Skills and EXP of a
Gameloc Professional” (yeah, I should work a bit on that title).

I’m an experienced
English to Spanish (Latin America) freelance translator, specializing in video game
localization since 2014, and I’m here to buff your stats, level up your
character, help you beat the final boss and… offer you my linguistic services,
of course!

For the
last seven years, I’ve been translating, reviewing, proofreading and adapting video-game-related
content, from in-game text to scripts, from UIs to web content, from subtitles
to user manuals, and dealing with the field’s most common technical and
cultural complexities, namely lack of context, character limitations, bugs,
queries, language variants, cultural references, regionalisms, idioms, etc. You
may think I’m already used to cope with such trying obstacles, but no. Every
time is a challenge… a FUN challenge, that is!

I’ve worked
on some of the most interesting and fascinating projects, ranging from AAA to
indie titles for PC, consoles and mobile devices, collaborating in the
localization of MMORPGs, MOBAs, FPSs and action-adventure games, among others.
Some of the projects I had the chance to get my hands on include Dragon Ball
FighterZ, Kentucky Route Zero, If Found…, and the list could go on, but due to
NDA restrictions, and for the sake of pragmatism, let’s stop here. If you’re
feeling curious and want to know more, though, you can visit my website and
browse around:
https://stsloc.com/

Do you
think I have what it takes to complete your mission and get a high score? If
so, give me the chance to prove my abilities and I won’t give up until the screen
says “GAME OVER.”
