After High School, I studied English for two years and earned the Diploma of the British Chamber of Commerce (1974).
From 1976 to 1982, I worked as a technical translator for a sub-contractor of the Hachette group in Paris, mostly in the automotive field. Being also a mechanic, I did lots of proofreading for the same company. I left Paris in 1982 for Brittany and worked as a mechanic rebuiding engines for British and American cars. I took a year off in 1989, in order to get american pilot licenses in Florida ( Commercial, Instruments, multi-engine).Last year, I took classes to learn how to work with a computer in order to get back to a translation job.
I translated most issues of a British magazine called "On the Road" under the french title "Ma Voiture" for the Hachette group in Paris. I also did work on car workshop manuals. I have a very good knowledge of engines and aviation stuff.
