I have a feeling that these people were audited by CRA and they are now very strict with them, that's why they are required to do that.

I think I just give it to them and get it over and done with.

Hello,

I live in Quebec and have a new client. They are asking for my SIN in order to create a T4a.

I've had another client send me a T4a, but they never asked me for my SIN. I am self-employed and have never given out my SIN to clients.

Is the client in the right or wrong for requesting this information from me?
