Dear All,
I'm an enthusiastic novice of MemoQ, switching just a few days ago after having used Deja Vu (3/X/X2) for 9 years.
For now, I have two questions:
(1) Is there a way to "translate to fuzzy"?
Do I really have to confirm (Ctrl + Enter) every single segment even if they include a 100/101% match or else a repetition (which seems to be shown as 0%)?

Do I really have to confirm (Ctrl + Enter) every single segment even if they include a 100/101% match or else a repetition (which seems to be shown as 0%)?
It should be logical to have a setting (or "light resource") where I can change this behaviour.
(2) Is there a way to disable the confirmation popup dialogue when the target segment is identical with the source segment? This one really annoys me, and again, there should be a way to get rid of this.
Right now I'm translating a 13k document where 30% of the segments are identical in source and target (technical specifications).

For operations affecting more than one segment, you have the Operations menu. You can use it to pretranslate segments with the Pre-translate command.
You have different levels of matching for the Pre-Translate command:
- 101%: Match in the translation and in the context.
- 100%: Match in the translation, even if in a different context.
- Good match: A high fuzzy match.
- Any match: Well, anything that can be found, even if needing a lot of editing.

You can choose the scope of the operation (this is the same in all Operations commands):
- Project: All files of the project.
- Open documents: All the documents open at the moment.
- Active document: The document whose segments you are seeing on screen.

The big advantage of the Pre-translate command is that it goes through the whole file, unlike Translate to fuzzy in Trados which only translated to the next non-100% match, so you had to run it numerous times.
The Pre-translate command pretranslates the segments and leaves them unconfirmed, so you have to confirm them. If you don't need to read them in context and confirm them one by one, you can confirm them in one go with another Operations command, Confirm and update rows. Normally you confirm 100/101% matches, and you have a checkbox for that.
After segments have been confirmed this way, you can naturally edit them any way you like and confirm any segments you edit. But at least it saves you an enormous amount of time in projects with very high reuse of the memory.
Give it a try! This approach is tremendously more useful than the old Translate to fuzzy. ▲ Collapse

The Translate to fuzzy section is usually useful if you want to:
a) translate a file and just stop whenever you don't have a 100% match
b) see what the proofreader/editor changed.
In memoQ these can be done differently, if not better:
in a) after you've pretranslated the file as Tomás described, you can simply set the "Go To Next" settings so that you always skip the either confirmed segments or the 100%/101% (and many... See more To just add to what Tomás said:

In memoQ these can be done differently, if not better:
in a) after you've pretranslated the file as Tomás described, you can simply set the "Go To Next" settings so that you always skip the either confirmed segments or the 100%/101% (and many more) and stop whenever you have an empty / not translated segment. Just press ctrl+shift+g and chose your filters + make sure to check "always jump after confirming segment". You can also simply hide the 100% matches to display only the edited / not started ones, just use the filter.
b) New memoQ has track changes, so that's the best way to go about it. But if your proofreader is using e.g. the bilingual table or something else, whenever you import what they edited, your file will be updated and the confirmed segments' status will change to edited. Then you just do the same as above to jump to those segments automatically.
