Discussion

Orbital (asker) Feb 22, 2006:
The Crib is the station out in the middle of the lake and it is sent up and down again either to maintain tunnel pressure or to use gravity to keep the heaviest particles from entering the rube.
NetLynx Feb 22, 2006:
Which part exactly is the crib? And why is water pumped to the top to go down again?
Suzanne Blangsted (X) Feb 19, 2006:
Et hus der indeholder vandrør og -pumper er et vandværk eller pumpestation. Måske kan det bruges.
Orbital (asker) Feb 19, 2006:
A water crib A Water Crib is noramally in the middle of a lake. It doesnt hold any water, nor does it need to. It sits in the middle of a lake. The Chicago Water Cribs pump water from the bottom up to the top where it goes down a pipe to a tunnel under the lake bed.
