Recurso de Reposición

Spanish to English Law/Patents Law (general) Motions
I am translating a document sent to the Board of Directors of the National Power Company to reconsider their decision in a matter of interest to my client. No judge is involved, however, many state agencies including the Attorney General's Office and the National Power Company's own Legal Department have issued opinions in the matter. My client has filed a document appealing / requesting reconsideration of the matter in question. I believe the correct translation would be either "Appeal for Reversal" or "Motion for Reconsideration". Am I right? If so, which one should I use? Otherwise, can you please suggest an alternative translation?

Here is an example paragraph were the phrase is used:

Resulta importante hacer referencia que mi representada impugnó, mediante Recurso de Reposición interpuesto en tiempo y forma, la Resolución número ****** de fecha ** de ***** de 2014, emitida por la Junta Directiva en el expediente administrativo número ***** el día ** de ***** de 2015, y que a esta fecha aún no ha sido resuelto, a pesar de haber transcurrido *** AÑOS Y ***** MESES, creando con ello una situación de total inseguridad jurídica que afecta directamente los interés económicos de *****.

Mazzuco & Maranghello (2009) define recurso de reposición as "an appeal filed in order that the same judge or court that pronounced a certain judgment (not a final one) shall revoke it because it has prejudiced one or both of the parties to the case".
Furthermore, Cabanellas & Hoage (2010) provide the following translations for the term: 1. appeal for reconsideration, bill of review, appeal to a court requesting the reversal of its own decisions; 2. (Mex.) interlocutory appeal (in a civil case); 3. motion to set aside.
