I understand what this means but wondered if there was a standard way of phrasing this in English?
"En échographie cardiaque, les conditions d’observation sont moyennes, le ventricule gauche est à 63 mm en diastole, 57 mm en systole, pas d'hypertrophie."

I am not sure if this is the standard way of phrasing, but this is what I encountered in context with echocardiography texts.

A 'technically difficult study' usually means that the patient was obese, had lung disease or was unable to cooperate fully so that some aspects of the examination may be unclear or unanswered.

Since I am not originally a linguist but a Pharmacist/Chemist I think I just try to find a logic solution in terminology (independently of some language rules).

But I think "viewing conditions" is as descriptive as "observation conditions". Exam/scan conditions, perhaps?
