Küstenbögen

German to English Medical Medical (general)
This is taken from a medical report about a patient with multiple injuries:

Discussion

Lirka Mar 25, 2023:
I'd bet on it, Anne! I've seen "knocking pain" for Perkussionsschmerz (among other nonsense)
Anne Schulz Mar 24, 2023:
I agree with philgoddard, the source text may very well be a (mis)translation from some third language into German.
philgoddard Mar 24, 2023:
andres-larsen You don't mention this in your discussion entry or your answer, but it could be a confusion between the English "costal" and "coastal"- you've actually made the same slip near the end of your comments.

As your references show, "costal arch" is Rippenbogen.
philgoddard Mar 24, 2023:
I found this very odd document, which may be a bad translation from Russian:

In deutsch Küsten hat to see with sea. It's confusion with Kostalbogen
I think it can be translated but with a note with the erratum: Kostalbogen, nicht Küstenbogen
