Placket Explanation: I understand this is the technical term. https://sewguide.com/stitch-plackets/ Alternatively, you could put /Polo shirt with front opening without buttons/ -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2023-11-21 07:28:55 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- A placket is an opening in clothes that allows easy putting on and removal. It is usually used as an opening in necklines, sleeve cuffs, and waistbands of pants and skirts. Sometimes plackets are used solely as a decorative element, especially with embroidery or in contrasting colored fabrics. In sewing plackets, they should be placed so that they could be very comfortably accessed for fastening and unfastening. |

placket Explanation: The placket is that strip of material the buttons are usually sewn to in a polo shirt. See link for picture. So logically if they say this is the bit "with no buttons" they mean the placket. Googling "parts of polo shirt" or whatever your garment is usually throws up sites with labelled diagrams that help with the kind of translation you are doing, but don't trust sites that are .it or .de or whatever as they will be translated from the original language are not reliable. I often add co.uk to any google searches just to be safe HTH https://www.sunembroideryscreenprinting.com/parts-polo-shirt.htm |
