without wishing to “reduce” the heterogeneity of that list---or even to eliminate certain inconsistencies in my analyses which may have the advantage of protecting me from being securely identified with a “critical position”---I would like to take the risk of “speaking” the move from the biological to the esthetic, a move which has of course been assumed in each of my references to a work of art.
