English term
purport to
English to Chinese
Law/Patents
Real Estate
this is a term frequently appearing in legal documents in my work, and in most cases, we will translate it as "旨在" or "拟". however, sometimes such translation does not fit in with the context. for exameple:
" "Proper Instruction" means signed instructions or authorisation from the Company or the Advisor sent by facsimile or electronic transmission, in each case signed or purporting to be signed by such one or more persons as the Company or Advisor shall from time to time authorize to give such instructions."
" "Proper Instruction" means signed instructions or authorisation from the Company or the Advisor sent by facsimile or electronic transmission, in each case signed or purporting to be signed by such one or more persons as the Company or Advisor shall from time to time authorize to give such instructions."

6 mins
负责
1 hr
拟------
signed or purporting to be signed
Discussion
I am just hoping someone can come up with an alternative answer which may not necessarily better than the existing answers.
