The ticket is formed from a base sheet on which information to be concealed is printed, and a release coating is deposited over predetermined areas of the previously printed information. Thereafter an opaque material is applied over the **release coating** to conceal the information in the printed areas, which opaque material is adapted to be rubbed off when the ticket is used.
It will be understood that the lottery ticket of the present invention can contain additional layers as is customary in the production of scratch-off lottery tickets. For example, a **release coating** (not shown) may be provided over the varnish layers 43, 45 to provide a smooth surface for printing of the scratch-off layer.

Nu stiu sigur daca este termenul cel mai potrivit. Nu este un termen consacrat ca sa spun asa.
Principiul insa este folosit in foarte multe industrii, si in general consta in aplicarea unui strat de material antiaderent, de multe ori ceara sau un produs siliconic, inainte de vopsire, turnare, etc.
Spre exemplu in producerea de obiecte din fibra de sticla se foloseste o ceara, pentru ca rasina sa nu se lipeasca de forma in care este turnata.

Motivul pentru care eu am considerat substrat este unul evident, se afla sub un strat opac de vopsea, si va ajuta la indepartarea stratului respectiv, dar va si proteja straturile aplicate anterior, cum ar fi in acest caz cifrele, textul, loteriei respective.
