Годовой отчет организации. Статья, касающаяся факторинга:
Factoring is the sale of receivables, whereby depending on the type of the factoring contract the buyer has the right to resell the transferred receivable within time agreed (factoring with recourse) or there is no right for resale and all the risks and benefits associated to the receivable are transferred from seller to purchaser (factoring without recourse).
When the seller of the receivable retains the repurchase right of the receivable, the transaction is recognised as a financing transactions (i.e. a borrowing with collateral) and not as a sale. The receivable is not considered as sold but is recorded in the balances sheet until the receivable have been collected or the regression right has expired. The related liability is recorded similarly to other borrowings.
If control over the receivable and the related risks and rewards are transferred from the Company at the moment of the transfer, the transaction is recorded as the sale of the receivable. Costs related to the sale of receivables are recognised as finance costs (similarly to interest expenses) or as a write-down expense of receivables.

Затраты, уменьшающие стоимость дебиторской задолженности
Иными словами, наши затраты на факторинг (грубо говоря - скидка, которую мы даём покупателю нашей дебиторской задолженности за то, что он нам - деньги вперёд и никаких претензий по "проблемным долгам" после - ибо without recourse) это либо расходы финансового плана (=плата за более раннее предоставление финансирования - сами бы мы эти receivables получили существенно позже), либо затраты, снижающие сумму к получению по дебиторской задолженности.

Прямой смысл термина "write-down" - "списание", на мой взгляд, не должен здесь использоваться, дабы не перегружать картину. "Списание" дебиторской задолженности - это, как правило, признание её безнадёжной, истечение срока давности и отнесение на убытки. Некий такой end of story. Имено поэтому и считаю нужным то же самое (=про уменьшение стоимости) сказать описательно.
Есть ли другие примеры затрат, снижающих сумму к получению по дебиторской задолженности?
Навскидку - да, но мало.
Раз - претензии покупателей
Два - затраты на службы инкассо (или как там ещё называются очень суровые люди, занимающиеся сбором проблемной задолженности за проценты).
Три - скидка за ранний платёж (западная специфика, условия платежа наподобие 1/10, net 30)
И различные т.д., которые сейчас что-то не припоминаются.
