Chandra, I see, but I think, and sure, that "activity" here is not a "виды деятельности", it is an "operations" (операции) or "processes" (процессы). And certainly the "costing" is not "расчёт себестоимости", this is namely "учёт затрат".
Well, "ABC" = "метод учёта затрат (процессно-ориентированный)".
IMHO. The decision is on your choice.

My understanding of Activity-based costing is that it is about considering both direct and indirect costs, and therefore on reflection I think that the the phrase: Учет затрат по видам деятельности is better.

По аналогии с ABM, ABC в русской специальной литературе называется "Процессно-ориентированный метод управления затратами" или "Метод управления затратами, ориентированный на процессы". Activity в данном случае не "виды деятельности", а "процессы", "операции". Речь об учёте затрат по отдельным операциям, по-операционный, по-процессный учёт затрат.

Chandra, I am very sorry, but ... ... but I think that the answer which has been chosen is not a correct answer. "Учёт затрат" does not equal "расчёт себестоимости". Речь идёт о методе учёта затрат, целом направлении в бухгалтерском и управленческом учётах, но никак не о расчёте себестоимости, тем более, по видам деятельности. Имхо.
