Italian term

illuminotecnico

Italian to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering Bioarchitecture and eco-s
Context: Il concept illuminotecnico

I saw that the term was already in the glossary but looking at it in this context - I wasn't sure whether it referred to the 'lighting designer' figure as I saw on Google that this was the translation for illuminotecnico or in a more general sense - referring to the 'lighting' itself....please advise

lighting

Just "lighting" I'm afraid. Another example of the "tecnico" that is so often redundant in English.

lighting engineering/design concept

This is how I would say it. Since your context is more technical, I would opt for engineering

lighting engineering or lighting technology

It's only my personal opinion, since the description that follows your term is quite engineer-oriented stuff, I would choose these two words (a single-word translation not beeing possible, apparently).
