about a steel cheese grater
AISI 430 acciaio lucido protetto a vista
I'm guessing "AISI 430 guarded stainless steel" but I can't be sure that makes sense! Any comments most welcome.

Acciaio lucido has to be polished stainless as "shiny stainless steel" would not do..
Having done some research about "acciaio protetto" I found that several manufacturers offer anti-corrosive treatments or even coatings. What is throwing me for a loop is the "a vista" part of the phrase which makes absolutely no sense to me..decreasing my confidence level..is there more text such as what is it protected with?
My guess is that "a vista" may mean all exposed parts (any parts that are visible) must be treated.
I am assuming from your other questions that it's the cheese grater and if so, humidity may be a factor here but they should be specifying somewhere how this material is to be treated. Sorry I cannot be of more help.
