Italian term

an della pretesa

Italian to English Law/Patents Law (general)
Can anyone tell me what 'an' means here?

As in, 'Il tribunale ha ritenuto di risolvere la questione relativa all'an della pretesa'.

Any guidance or explanation (even in Italian) would be great.

agree philgoddard : I think you should always replace Latin with English in texts like this.
