The first type corresponds to what is generally called encyclopedic knowledge, including “all knowledge, linguistic and extralinguistic, stored in an individual’s memory” (« toutes les connaissances, linguistiques et extralinguistiques, emmagasinées dans la mémoire d’un individu », Lederer 1995:38).
