Właścicielem patentu jest polska uczelnia (co za tym idzie - treść oryginału jest w j. polskim), która po angielsku zgłosiła wynalazek do postępowania międzynarodowego (ochrona w wybranych krajach na świecie, w tym - w wybranych w UE) i w tym zgłoszeniu po angielsku - ta polska uczelnia użyła - "residence in time". Czy to zrobili idealnie? Nie wiem :).

True. An organism retains toxins whereas toxins reside in the organism. Since the clue has "w organiźmie," I thought to offer the alternative.

I know "retention" is from the body/organism's point of view and "residence" from the molecule's... it's just that in the literature they're used interchangeably.

Retain is to hold, keep - zatrzymywanie ; reside is to exist within - przebywanie.

Troszkę poguglałem i na pierwszy rzut oka tym kontekście retention i residence są używane zamiennie. MacroJanus przybliż nam swój drugi rzut oka :-)

Thank you, Jarek. While the two terms are close, przebywanie is closest to residence.
