Proofreader's input back form Word to Transit NXT

I have a project for translating a Word file in Transit NXT; after completing the translation I sent the Word export to a native speaker of the target language (who does not have Transit) and I have a corrected clean version of the translated Word file from her.

What is the best (i.e., fastest and most realiable) way of editing the Transit project to have all the proofreader's edits put into the Transit's target file?

Alignment project as ref Aug 27, 2012

Make an alignment project with the original text and the proofread version, set the text as "translated". Import the original file again with the alignment project as ref.
