[webinar] 25 May 2016 at 14:00 BST (15:00 CEST) Binding Agreements and Legal Principles for Translators In this webinar, we will discuss some of the recurring issues that freelance translators face when entering into binding agreements with agencies and/or direct clients, as well as some standard legal principles that can help them make better and more informed decisions before signing. Even though each country has its own laws and statutes governing contract law, there are still some simple legal concepts that are common in most countries and which can prove to be very helpful for translators. After the webinar, you will understand the different kinds of contracts you may encounter, identify what they should and should not include, and understand the role of the purchase order. All webinars are recorded: if you miss the live session, you will be able to view the recording later.
